Hi I am hoping someone can help me. I have a Nissan Primera T11 1996 and I am trying to install an alarm but have come to a halt on the remote locking. This vehicle has a keyless entry which unlocks all doors. I have traced a purple and a brown wire inside which will lock and unlock all doors EXCEPT the drivers door. In the drivers door there is asperate actuator with four wires. Two wires are heavy and coloured pink & brown. The other two are light wires, YELLOW /GREEN (from memory) and black. These wires first go into the keyless entry unit and then go on to what appears to be a delay unit and inclu\des an interior light delay integrated into the locking system. My alarm has two relays included (6 wires) and can be wire +ve OR -ve triger, +ve AND -ve trigger. I need some pointers where to start, without cooking everything. I'm ok with electronics and a testmeter but not so hot an auto electrics. Thanks in advance Peter

did you test the wires in the door
this is all i have on the primera at the moment ope it helps

According to DEI, they are type F locks. It's a single wire system, yellow/red. You must apply a ground to the wire to unlock the doors, and cut the wire to lock. Use a single relay to do this. It was a common system in mid 90's Nissans...

To solve your problem there is a relay box on the drivers side asumming its a rhand drive primera it is black in color.The purple and brown wires go to it but its not the key less module its a delay module,You need to get acess to the keyless module.It on passenger side remove the glove box it is near the top near the ac evaporator core.Pull it out and probe the wires with a test light yor results will be one wire will lock all doors one wire will only ulock 3doors,next you pull out the curcuit board and probe tlii you find 4doors ulock solder to this connection and run a wire out,then just hook up - unlock - lock wires from the alarm.hope this helps. ------------- Jamaica home of the worlds fastest man.

Thanks team for the help. For the benefit of anyone reading this post in the future, Ringojam was on the money. The keyless entry module is located on the drivers side (RH Drive model) between the main fusebox and the column, quite high. A -ve pulse to the cathodes of D7 and D8 do the business. Interestingly, D7 & D8 appear to be steering diodes from the commonly quoted grey and purple wires which, with a negative pulse, will open all doors except the drivers door. Cheers from down under. Mike - there is no yellow and red wire controlling the doors. This whole car is krazy. I've done a few Mitsi in the past and they were a breeze compared to this heap of k**p. P

These rh drive modles are really crazy there is usually no wiring diagram on most of these cars so the installer has to use their ingnuity.Speakin about mitibushi ,the 2001 to 2005 lancer and cedia or space waggon try the power locks on those you need to be an acrobat and a rocket scientist to get to the wires and make them work  ------------- Jamaica home of the worlds fastest man.

Ringojam The two 98 Lancers I did both seemed to have the electrics laid out more logically. The doors, the dome, the flashers were all accessible from or very close to the main electrical distribution point. The Nissan has the door and dome controls to the left of the column, almost centred, the indicators to the extreme right and the keyless entry somewhere near the middle !!! (rh drive model) . Messy . From an owner perspective, the Nissan doesnt seem to be as technologically advanced as the Mitsi despite all the extra wires, modules and boxes everywhere. On the subject of the Nissan, (T11 Primera) - any good suggestions as to the best place(s) to put the immobilizer(s) ? I've probably done those the hard way too !!! Again - thanks for the info. I would never have thought of going inside the control box. I was almost ready to give up Cheers, Peter

Drop the fuse box and behind theres a loom for ignition usually a blk with a red stripe thats where i cut never at the switch loom too easy to get to  ------------- Jamaica home of the worlds fastest man.
