Hey- does the car have multiple acc wires ? They may all need to be hooked up. Also, you may have a wire turned on during crank that should drop out instead. just a Guess, Steve

Notes:
NOTE: This vehicle has the PATS (passive anti-theft system) installed. It must be bypassed when adding a remote start module. *1 The door locks are positive trigger if equipped with factory keyless entry, and are 5 wire on all other models. *2 The LCM is located to the passenger side of the steering column. The harness is accessable between the steering column and the LCM. *3 There is a dk. blue for the drivers door and BLACK/ orange for the other three doors. Use both wires and diode isolate each one. *4 The PCM is located under the hood to the drivers side of the brake master cylinder. *5 The wiper motor is located just above the brake master cylinder.

Get the dash down, and your meter/test light ready.
Do NOT insert the key---just remote start the car, and leave it running.
Test all of the wires coming from the ignition switch----make a note of any of these wires that do not have power.
Turn the remote start off, insert the key, and TEST each of these wires you found, to determine its function----radio-accessory, heater-accessory, ignition, or starter.
Hook up your remote start to one of these suspect wires, and remote start the car again-------if all your warning lights are off, you're all set. If the warning light is still on, try powering up a different wire instead.
I've done a few Grand Marquis, and I've found that the radio wire does not need power----and I wouldn't want my radio to come blasting on when I remote start the car in the morning anyway. \
But that other "second accessory" wire---the pink/black one--- is smaller than all the others, and easy to miss. And if you don't power it during remote start, the airbag light comes on (not the check engine). Still, though, double-check that you got that wire.
