as2300 in a 03 bonneville. Installed with a DT1000 system.

Starter was installed about 2 weeks ago, worked flawless, then the customer said it won't stay running anymore.

The car starts, then runs for about 4 seconds (long seconds), then quits, the parking lights flash 3 times. I checked the parking light flash table, it doesn't correspond, I then placed the key in the ignition, remote started, vehicle ran for 4 seconds then stopped.

I told the customer to back back later today, any ideas on the problem?
First im going to check the bypass kit connections then replace bypass kit, next swap out the 2300, next check all sodder points. Any ideas or help would be nice.

I checked with autostart support, they said check tach and second ign wire....

Does the vehicle stay running if you were to start it with the key and then remote start it ? If it does, then there's nothing wrong with the wiring, rather the Passkey system is the problem.

Funny issue, I got the car in the bay, the bypass kit looked fine, all wiring looked fine and then I decided to check the tach, went in and the hood pin switch wire and the tach wire were cut (or broke) I called the customer and told him the problem was fixed, and asked if an oil change or a air filter was replaced, he said he had his oil changed... They must have snagged the wires pretty hard on something, because I hid them pretty well.

Thanks for the post.
