open the door, turn the ignition to on, push valet button 8 times, push one more time and hold it, while holding push the lock button on the remote you want to program, you should get a long chirp from the siren. Turn off the ignition and you're done.
If you get one long chirp from the siren before you push the lock on the remote, then your transmitter programming has been locked, you must visit a DEI dealer with a bitwriter to unlock transmitter programming.
This does the auto learn configuration for the remote. You can also program each button individually if for some reason you don't like the standard configuration.

I'm confused by this, the manual and even the back of the new remote I bought say's channel 1 for auto learn configuration, is there something I'm missing? Channel 8 in the manual is the Short Run/Turbo, if channel 8 is correct, could someone verify this, Thanks in advance, (and yes, this is new to me) ------------- Les

Yep, it's step 1. Door open, key on, hit the valet, relaease, hold it in. Then hit the arm button....
