I wouldn't be splicing into too much stuff on that thing..... BMW has taken a rather Mercedes stance on warranty stuff as of late. If something you spliced into happens to act up... they will replace the harness at your expense.
I believe the guys that do the DUI immobilizers around these parts had a bulletin out to this effect recently. Something about a $2000 repair bill because something was causing the vehicle to wierd out slightly. Turned out the milliamp draw the system had was enough to make one of the BCM's very unhappy....
