I just installed a New Compustar 2WSS-S Remote start in a 2005. Everything went great, I new that was bad luck. I can't get the remote to talk to the cpu. I cycled the key on and off 5 times the parking lights flash 2 times, I push button 1 on remote, doesn't program, I also tried cycling the key 5 times, parking lights flash 2 times, I insert battery into remote, doesn't program. I used a Crimestopper GM-U7 for bypass, that works fine, I can ground the input wires for lock and unlock and they work fine, I have installed about 20 remote starters, this is my first compustar. It seems like a bad anttenna or cable between the box and antenna. Anybody with more experience on Compustar got any idea's??HELP

try this take the battery out of the remote, cycle the ignition on/off 5 times, put battery back in, wait for a few seconds you will hear clicks from the relays, and then confirmation on the LCD if the relays fail to click take battery out, and then put it back in then you should be confirmation on the LCD if none of this works try again, it might take a few times cause they are a little finicky

Tried it a bunch of times without success, does the hood need to be open or any other thing which might prevent the remote from linking with the cpu? Jeff ------------- Water collects in low spots

it has directions in the manual. We don't stock that unit, but I believe it was take the battery out, cycle IGN 5X, put battery back in, etc...... just like everyone said. It will work, i remember having to tr it multiple times to get it learned. ------------- South Side Audio

I finally got it to program, they are very hard to program, timing is critical. You must do it immediately after the key cycle. It works great, everything functions perfectly, range is impressive THANKS FOR THE HELP Jeff ------------- Water collects in low spots
