i have decided to get a new alarm system. what kind of system should i get. i would like something fairly cheap, but easy to put in myself. i would kinda like to have a remote start too but its not neccesary, because mainly all i want is to have a keyless enrty.

i have a 1998 ford ranger with a manual transmission.

ultra start makes a decent remote start alarm for manual shift trannys. cheap and reliable go with 2256 great deal.  try "hotbuyselectronics.com" for about $89 shipped.  I've installed seven of these, and only one small issue with one unit.  I had to reprogram the second remote once. thats it. its been 3 years since then and no probs.
