Did you hook up 2 wires from AGA0801 to Constant 12 Volts or just 1? Also, did you verify Both the LOCK & Unlock wires with the Door Switch?

i hooked the red and both yellow wires to the positive like in the diagram, i thought it was weird to hook both yellows to the positive but thats what it says to do. and i did check the wires with a test light to see that i had the right wires. im wondering if not hooking up the white - acc, blue/black - trunk, yellow - engine cut off, pink - siren, might have something to do with it????????????? ------------- THE GOOSE

Doesn't the YELLOW / Black have to go to Constant 12 Volt + also? I can't see the Diagrams very clear......... ------------- MO

If so, and you do NOT get a 12 Volt reading when you Press LOCK on Remote........( Keys are NOT in Ignition )..........I would want to make sure of wiring, Fuse/s, Programming and then Replace Unit..........

Have you checked to see if you get Output from any other wires on the AGA0801 Lock / Unlock wires, when you Press LOCK on the Remote?

You didn't hook up the yellow wire from the top of the "WIRES INSTALLATION DIAGRAM" to 12V, did you? That's a relay control signal for the starter cutout; connecting it to 12V will blow it- It looks like the WHITE wire is for LOCK, where does the light blue show up?

It looks like the LOCK wires are:
ORANGE NC contact to OEM LOCK signal
WHITE COM contact LOCK OUTPUT TO PDL MOTOR
YELLOW NO contact for +12V feed
UNLOCK wires are:
ORANGE / BLACK NC contact to OEM UNLOCK signal
WHITE/ BLACK COM contact UNLOCK OUTPUT TO PDL MOTOR
YELLOW/BLACK NO relay contact for +12V feed
If you push the lock button, you should see momentary continuity between the white and yellow wires on the "Wire Set of Central door lock"
Pushing the remote's unlock button, you should see momentary connection between between the WHITE/ black and yellow/black wires-
If it works for unlock, I don't think programming would be the problem; should work for lock also, unless the module's out to lunch.

thats the way i hooked it up but nomomentary connection between the WHITE/ black and yellow/black wires. i think the module is out, unless it has somthing to do with the dome light shut off switch some astros have, so if the doors are open you can hit the switch and shut them off to save battery. i herd sometimes you need a positive pulse door relay door lock circuit? thanks for your help and info! thegoose ------------- THE GOOSE

Which figure in the Central Lock Installation Diagram are you using for the central lock wiring?
Don't know the details of the Astro's lock control, but
you may want to check to see if you need to use Fig 3, if the OEM setup holds both sides at ground. If it's like that, the lines from the OEM switch would have to be cut.
If it uses a controller, then you should be able to to just apply a (+) pulse to the control lines, and the OEM controller does the rest.
Should be able to check it by measuring the resistance of each of the lines to ground and see if it's high impedance or if it's grounded.
Or let someone who's done an Astro tell you for sure-
