I am kinda of confussed about a trunk switch. Will it set of the alarm if somebody tries to brake into my trunk and the trunk is opened while the alarm is armed. Or does all the trunk switch do is just lets me pop open my trunk. If so what could i put in my trunk so if it is somehow forced open it will set the alarm off. Oh yeah i have a Python 460HP.

the trunk trigger is the same as the hood trigger.

usually not sure what you mean by trunk switch does it say that in the manual. when i hear trunk switch i would think that would be the trunk trigger wire on the car

usually the trunk pop is done off aux1 so you you see a wire marked trunk switch/ aux1 then this is the pop wire. if you see one trunk/hood switch then this would be the trigger.

so did you see trunk switch on a wiring diagram for the car or alarm

RED / white wire go to a relay to open your trunk, if you have power trunk. use the blue wire for a "trigger" this will set off the alarm if some one opens it.

I was looking for a way to wire a trunk trigger so if someone opens it, it will set off the alarm. I do not have a power trunk. I don't even have it wired to pop the trunk open using an AUX. So could i just buy a hood trigger and put it in the trunk?
