Im putting a 561r in an aurora today and my question is do i need to buy the transponder unit or can i set up a immoblizer relay and wrap the yellow wire around the ignition and also around the spare key? i have seen that done before but not with Valet's so any help would be appreciated

the model of the R/S has nothing to do with what bypass to use. A transponder bypass and the relay you described will do the same thing. use which ever you prefer
