I installed a avistart 4200 on a 93 t bird and the trigger wire to the trunk will not trip a relay. Only 2.3 volts when activated. Its a positive release and it takes 12 volts to activate it. Everything else works like it should. Could the brain be bad?

Your Trunk wire should be putting out approx 250 MA........more than enough for Relay activation

Did you wire Relay like this:

For someone who is so far away, you were right on the money. In the instuctions it shows the relay hookup as only having power to 87 or 86 but the relay was not clickin. Hey, thanks so much. Its working now. Take care
