heres the situation. i have a customer with an 01' tahoe, i installed a remote start and keyless unit on the vehicle, with domelight supervision. i used the tan door pin wire at the ecu to trigger the domelight. when the vehicle is NOT running and you unlock the door, everything works fine.. domelight turns on, map lights turn on, and the lights on the side mirrors turn on, HOWEVER... when the vehicle IS running only the domelight will turn on , neither the map lites or the lights on the side mirrors turn on. will a databuse interface solve this problem? or is there another way to do this??

What happens when you open the driver's door with the vehicle running? If all the lights come on, try connecting to the common door trigger lead, GREEN/ Black(-) wire at the B.C.M. in a Violet connector.
