Hi All;

I have a 2005 Ford Explorer and i have read the wiring diagrams and confused to what to do with the door locks, the wiring states to wake up the GEM module how is that connected? If i connect to the door lock wiring will the doors lock and unlock correctly? Also i needed to know is it possible once i change to a aftermarket remote starter will i be able to pop the rear hatch? I am installing a Auto-page RS615 system, all help greatly appreciated.

Thank you! posted_image

The rear hatch release wire is at the keyless/alarm module on the right rear quarter panel. pull back the plastic body panel right behind the RR door and you'll see it.

Purple / YELLOW....hatch release pos.

You can grab 12v from there too, so you only need to run the trunk release wire to it.

You can also find the ORANGE / lt. grn hatch release wire in the harness coming from under the drivers seat. It comes from under the seat and then goes to the back of the vehicle. Much easier then running a wire to the back of the passenger side.
