hey guys, have a 2005 sienna r/s install comming up. looks pretty staight forward but after some research i have one question about the factory alarm. does anyone know if the factory alarm will disarm when you unlock the vehicle by the r/s remote, or do you neeed to hook up the key sense wire while starting to disarm the factory alarm. if anyone has done this or knows which way works ( maybe either ), advice would be greatly appreciated.

thank-you in advance

Only the XLE has a factory alarm; most of those vans are just the LE.

In any case, the PROPER lock/unlock wires will control the factory alarm..... make sure when you test the wires you're using the key in the outside of the door, NOT the rocker switch on the door panel.

And grounding the keysense wire during remote start will disarm the alarm then.
