I installe dthe r/s a couple of weeks ago and I just can't get this thing to start when it is cold.  I have programmed it to tach mode and learned the RPM.  Is there a cold start wire that I am not aware of?  I used the Peripherial bypass module for the door locks it did not have a factory alarm and transponder key.  I know there is a second starter wire that is negative trigger but does that wire have to be triggered for it to start at all?  If so that is being done by the bypass module.  Any suggestions or tips would be great.  Thank you in advance.

What Are you using for Resistor?

VIOLET/BROWN and VIOLET/ORANGE Must See 180 OHM Resistor Between Them During Start

I'm not running anything on the violet/brown wire.  It would remote start without it so I assumed the bypass module was multiplexing that starter wire.

Wasn't aware of any ByPass that would Multiplex the 2 wires......
OMEGA makes a ByPASS......IB-UCH2GX , that has the Resistor wire on it that you have to hardwire.......

I got the second starter wire to run through the relay and 180 ohm resistor.  I triggered the relay with the ground when running however and lost the use of the accessory.  I searched the forum for a similar problem and found to trigger the relay with a second starter output from the unit.  I fdon't have a second starter output form the unit so can I just use the single starter output to trigger the relay?

Thanks

Hi, just a quick question regarding what type of resistor to use.  Would any plain 180 ohm resistor we used at lab class work, or are we suppose to use something that can handle more current?

Thanks

or a - second starter output..... this wire should only be energized during crank.....
