I’m looking for the wiring info for a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins diesel. I’m looking to install an alarm with remote start with the ability to trigger the A/C, rear defroster, and if possible my bun warmers. (Nothings better then warm buns). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any recommendations on alarm units please.

Thank you

John

Have you done installs before? If not this maybe one you do not want to tackle. These are not easy trucks to do.

If you feel the need to do it your self, (wich I would NOT, if its your first one) Don't use a DEI unit. Their idea of how to start a diesel sucks. You gotta add another module to the R/S. And yes....I am anti DEI.  I would suggest either Astroflex or Compustar

The rear defrost is a blue/lt.blue wire at the switch Use a relay for a STRONG ground. it needs a latched pulse of say, 5 to 8 min. The indicator light will not turn on but the defrost will work.

The drivers heated seat is GREEN/ lt.green POS(+) pulse thru 120 ohm resistor this will turn the seat on HIGH 250 ohms will be LOW

The pass. seat is lt.GREEN / WHITE same wiring as the drivers seat.

You MUST remote start first, before triggering the seats or the defroster....

Good Luck.

I've never done alarm. But I'm not the one doing it. My brother used to do custom alarms for about 4-5 years. He put one on my old truck 2003 1500 hemi and did a great job. He said as long as I can get the wireing info it should be no problem.  Thanks for your help. I will provide this to him and if we need anything else I'll post.

audiovox's  prestige line has a wait  to start for diesel and has a lifetime warante on all parts even remotes also, about a thousand foot range.
