Are you sure it's an Acura E?L..Can't find a listing for that car in wiring database.  All I see is RL TL CL.

Also forgot to mention, using the serial # on your remote starter, providing that it is new, you can get a wiring diag. from www.prostart.org.

Yes Acura EL is a Canada only model. The 1998 Acura EL does NOT have engine immobilizer and therefore no need to have bypass. However, the EL comes with factory alarm system. The following is the wiring information for your 1998 Acura EL. You should be able to do a great job to install a R/S by yourself by just being careful. I did mine by myself and it works like a charm. Good luck and happy DIY.

12V Constant Power: White(+), ignition switch harness

Starter: BLACK/ White(+), ignition switch harness

Ignition 1: BLACK / YELLOW(+), ignition switch harness

Accessory 1: Yellow(+), ignition switch harness

Accessory 2: WHITE/ Black(+), ignition switch harness

Parking Light: RED / Green(+), Fuse box under dash

Power Lock: GREEN / WHITE(-), driver kick panel

Power Unlock: GREEN/ Orange(-), driver kick panel

Door Pin: Light Green(-), Fuse box

Doomlight Supervision: Light GREEN/ Black(-), driver kick panel

Trunk Release: Blue/Red(+), keyless entry control module under driver's seat. You need to cut this wire and use two diods to isolate the circuits if you want to use both your factory keyless entry remote and R/S to open the trunk. Also remember to disable the alarm when you use the R/S remote to open the trunk.

Horn: Gray(-), steering column harness

Tach: Blue(AC), Two-pin plug under the hood on driver's side. This is a light blue to blue plug that has only two wires connected to it.

Brake: GREEN / WHITE(+), switch above brake pedal

Factory Alarm Disarm: Blue with Silver Dots, driver kick panel (or factory keyless entry control module under driver's seat)

E-Brake: RED / Green (+), daytime running light control module on driver side. This module is just above the driver's kick panel and can easily be seen.

Hood-pin: Light Green (-), in keyless entry control module under driver's seat or in the driver's kick panel. This is a factory hood-pin and you don't need to drill another hole on the hood frame.
