hey all,  has anyone installed a r/s on a 2005 chevrolet blazer. i was just wondering how tough it is to get to the BCM. aparently it is under the radio, and i am just trying to picture the dash as i myself drive a 2002 jimmy. just curious as to what panels if any have to be removed to get to the bcm, and if so how difficult it is to get them off.

any insight or experiences wuold be appreciated.

You don't have to make connections at BCM if you don't want

I have installed both ways & either is as quick

i.e.:

Door locks are above Parking Brake
Rear Hatch is at Switch
Parking Lights are at Switch
etc.

No need for the BCM.. I only remove the black underdash panel on these trucks, nothing else. At the bottom of the fusebox/junction block in the drivers underdash you can find the following:

Park Lights: Light Blue (+)
Locks: White & Light Blue (+)
Hatch Release: BLACK/ White (+)
Brake: Light Blue or White (+)

OEM Disarm wire I run into the boot very easy to access on these vehicles. If you want to shutdown the rap you can find the drivers door trigger in the boot as well.

Good luck,

Mike
