There could be several reasons for that.  If you paid for the installation, you should seek the installer's help, of course.  If you are troubleshooting youself, you may wish to check the parking light output from your Viper to see if it is on all the time.  (Whether it is a positive or a negative output, it might be 'stuck' on.)  Just disconnect that lead to see if your problem goes away if you are unsure.

Good Luck

Tail lights? Do you mean parking lights or brake lights? I'm guessing brake lights. One possibilty is something applying pressure to the brake switch under the dash.

And what fuse did you pull? A fuse in the car or a fuse from the remote starter?

I would say the brake switch got pulled out of its bracket causing the brake lights to stay on, follow the wire from the module for brake imput if you don't know where this switch is.

had a guy come a few days after putiing in a remote start and complained that i screwed up and his brake lights stayed on all the time. turns out the day after i did the RS, he took it somewhere else to put on a trailer brake contoller. they took the brake switch out and didn't put it back in all the way. he apologized. at any rate, if it's the brake lights you might check the switch on the pedal.
