Hello,

I am installing a remote starter in a 2005 QX56. Everything is working great, except that I cannot remove the drivers door panel. I know some of you are shaking your head and saying "WHAT??!!" but its true, I need to remove the panel for access to the module in the door, but the panel is being held by 2 (bolts?) on either side of the inside door handle. I expected to find bolts or screws there, but I cannot seem to gain access to them. There is a piece of plasic with a wood like finish on the handle that may be covering them, but the plastic piece really resists removal...Im scared of breaking it, and in the past I have found that something that really resists removal usually isn't meant to be removed.

So, If anyone has every removed a door panel on a 2005 QX56, PLEASE HELP!!!!

I'm assuming you are trying to get to the doorlock wires. Do it without taking the door off. Read here:

Your 2005 should be the same as the 2004 listed at the top.

By the way, the "door module" is just the power window switch.

On maybe 90% of Nissan products, the window switch can simply be pried out.

If you do choose to run wires into the door for whatever reason, I recommend making your connections very close to the window switch.

That way, if you have a failed connection and the car comes back for repair, you don't have to take the whole door panel off again.
