If the light stays on with the Key:..... You may have to have to have a Scanner to delete the trouble codes or Dealer to do it. Double check your wires & make sure all the Ignition wires are Powered under Remote Start. Constant 12 volts | RED OR RED / WHITE | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | Ignition 12 volts | PINK | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | Starter | YELLOW | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS |
Ignition #2 | WHITE | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | Ignition #3 | ORANGE | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS | Accessory | BROWN | IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS |

All wires are powered that you have listed....but isn't the orange an accessory wire not ignition?? I thought perhaps it has to do with the bypass not being the correct one. Or would that not affect the light if I use the key?? The key sense wire is not used with the PLZAP bypass Im using...it wires to the RED / white where a PLJX wires to the yellow, brown and the key sense wire. The supplier who sold me the PLZAP says it should work but perhaps I should try wiring to a neg on the relay pack instead of the neg when running so it doesn't drop out during crank....Any of this correct or not correct??

Do you think it's the bypass??? Will I need to clear a code?? I've already ordered the PLJX bypasskit so that will be my next try.....or should I try the neg line that normally goes to neg on run only to a neg on the relay pack so it doesn't drop out...make any sense?

The by pass kit you have . Do you have to cut or splice the passlock wires?

I have a PLZAP....it wired by cutting the RED / white only of the passlock wires

a GM-u7 uses the diag plug and you dont have to cut any passlock wires. I know this wont help now but you may want to get 1

We use the PLJX, yes it works. 04 Chev/GMC have had the security light come on, but truck still starts, but then the light comes on with the key occationally too. Different truck, the security light comes on when the curise is activated, go figure.

Been thru the OLD argument of ORANGE wire as Ignition 3 & Brown wire doesn't need to be Powered. That is how I wire these trucks & have NEVER had an Issue of Check Engine Light or any trouble codes. I prefer the DB-GMDLBP or the IM-01, but there are others like the PLJX that shouldn't cause problems

Its so plane and simple (test the wire)
It lites up when you turn the key and goes out when you crank the starter, then comes back on. To me you should make the R/S unit do the same. I always try to make it seem that the key is making it start just like it should. Im not starting the argument over , just wanted to make my point.

Not to but in here, but I have a very similar situation today w/ a 2004 Silverado. Did a remote start and it works fine except that during remote start the brake light and ABS light come on. Also across the driver info center it says "SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE". Once R.S. is disengaged the brake and ABS go out. the 4wheel drive stays on totally. If you start w/ key no lights, no problem w/ the 4 Wheel Drive either. I hooked up the white second Ing. and Orange Accs. I DID NOT hook up the brown wire for sec. Accs. I don’t know if this is the same problem or not? Just thought this would be a good mention here. Anyone have any in put on this? ------------- Owner/ Custom Compact Performance

I use Compustar. And I'm 97% sure. I can double check that wire before I give the truck back. Would that cause my problem?

make sure your outputs are putting out at the same time. The pink and white need power even during crank. Orange is the one that drops out and comes back on. Check them all. as for interfaces I have never had a problem with gmdl-bp or gmbp interfaces.

The original post and problem I had with the security light staying lite was fixed by changing the bypass from a PLZAP to a PLXR. Works fine now. Thanks!
