I have a 1997 4runner. no longer beeps when i lock or unlock w/ remote. cannot find speaker for high pitched beep. lights still flash and alarm still works. Any suggestions?

located taped with foam tape to the harness inside the engine compartmant on the drivers side firewall, sometimes they are red

I had a similar problem before. Don't know about yours, but mine was a loose ground for siren. Check under your hood to see if the ground screw loosened up, sometime those self-tap screw loosens.
