Ok I know this vehicle has had its share of talk on this forum, and I have seen s relay diagram that shows how to interface with the sliding doors, but It didn't make any sense to me. So I guess the first question I have is, Is there a way to temporarily bypass the factory keyless entry module ignition feed so that the factory transmitter will work while the car is running by the remote starter? I heard that someone tried it and it didn't work so I thought I would ask.. This may solve my troubles, but in case it doesn't, W think I should ask this one: How do I trigger the sliding doors using two aux outputs? I looked at the relay diagram like I said before and it didn't make sense, but what I do know is that they do require a constant feed, not just a pulse. Let me know what you guys got. I know there have been a couple of threads about this, but I only ended up with that relay diagram as a result. If someone can explain thw relay diagram I would really like to know that too.

If you are using two aux outputs than ignore the 5th relay. I sent both diagrams to Jeff and you can get it off him. The sliding door has three wires. It's like a negative trigger door lock system except it has three wires. The light green wire is the trigger wire and it required to connected to both open and close wire. You don't have to cut the wire just connect on it. It's very sample and good luck.

Ok, I am closer to understanding these diagrams than before. I case I just decide to use an add-on starter to this vehicle since the range needed for it is no more than 50 ft, has anyone ever bybassed the ignition feed to the keyless entry module so that the factory remote would work after remote starting?
Thanks

Any takers on how to temporarily bypass the ignition feed to the factory keyless entry module so I can open and unlock my doors while the remote starter is on?
Thanks

Someone pass me that bottle.
OOh Alarmtech it looks like YOUR diagram is actually DEI Directechs diagram with their disclaimer cut off of the bottom.

Yes, i sent it to them :) along with the industry magazine Mobile Electronics. Don't recal the month it was in though...Trust me, my partner and i spent a bit a time firguring it out....
but the diagram they list on the site is not the same...?? i dunno

ALarmtech, I looked at this, but since I do not have these extra modules I was wondering if there was a way to use an addon unit so I would need to bypass the ignition feed to the keyless entry unti which doesn't allow the doors to be opened when the ignition is on. Any ideas?
Do those models in the diagram work with any starter, and where can i get them?

Yes, the modules (452T/450R) will work with ANY auxillary channel with a LATCHED output. Infact, the when using the 450R, this can be a complete standalone, as the 450R has remote programming capabilities.
both the 452T and 450R are DEI part numbers. I don't know of any others that make a device similar to the 452T, i've always used DEI so i never looked elsewhere, but i'm sure somebody out there does. I'm sure there are other channel expanders with LATCHED outputs though.
Now, the 450R is not really needed if you have an alarm with x2 AUX outputs that are programmable for LATCHED.
I guess you could also use latching relays in place of the 450R, but that may require some extra install outside of my diagram.
this just hit me.....your trying to use the FACTORY remote, but be able to open the sliders with IGN on. No add-on alarm? is that right?
If thats the case, you could use the main IGN wire and a relay to break the connection to the IGN wire on the keyless module when the key is on. Now i don't know if this will have an adverse affect to the module losing it's IGN power?
I do know that LOCK will not work with the key on, but UNLOCK does. You could use a timer relay off of the UNLOCK wire and have it set for like 20-30secs or however amount of time it takes for them to slide open plus a 10sec buffer. Although the door switch will activate it too.
The diagram i posted is for a complete stand alone sysem NOT using the factory remotes (although they still do work as they did)
