im trying to bypass vats on this car but I cannot find those 2 wires anywhere. Most GMs I have no problem but with this car I just cannot find those 2 wires. Maybe someone here can pinpoint me to those 2 wires.

Thank You.

The two Vats wires are white and are inside an orange or black insulation that makes them look like on wire. The wire will come from the ignition switch and usually goes into a large connector plug with all the other ignition harness wires. Just before this connector plug the two white wires are usually visible as they come out of the insulation and terminate separately. In some cars the wires go off on their own, but they should have a plug inline under the dash in case the ignition cylinder needs replacing.

Trust me, I know, usually that insulation just pops out in my face but not in this case. The only insylation I can find contains 4 wires with various colors and the yellow airbag insulation. Well, thanks for the help, I guess I have to rip the dash apart. lol .

A little tip:

Find the harness that you THINK is VATS.

Start the engine and let it run. Unplug the harness----if the security light comes on, you've got the right wire.

(Shut off the car, plug the wire back in, re-start the car, and the light will go away again.)
