I just installed the Ford Vehicle Security System for vehicles with Factory Keyless Entry.  The wiring diagram shows the relay required for the parking light flash to work.  When I wire up the relay as shown, the headlights and all running lights stay on constantly. This I cannot figure out.  Also, the parking lights flash when system is armed, but do not flash when system is triggered and alarming (supposed to flash while alarming).  My question is how can I fix this, and is it possible to get my headlights to stay on after the system is armed for a 15-30secs and come on when system is disarmed?  Sorry if this is complicated. I would appreciate all help in this matter!!!

The installation documents can be found at https://webpages.charter.net/brando_man

They are Adobe PDF format, open the "VEHICLE WIRING DIAGRAM document and locat 2005 MUSTANG then "VSS" system!!

And also my door lock function on key on event does not work, if anyone knows how to correct this.

According to the wiring diagram for the relay this is what you should have:

86 : Constant 12 volts
85 : (-) Trigger A-1 WHITE from the steering column Harness
87a: To the driver's center dash harness side of cut wire
30 : Other side of cut wire from above
87 : NOT USED

I realize this is how to connect the relay, and is the way that I connected it. However, when I switch the headlights on, they operate normally, when I turn them to the off position, they come back on and stay on. When I turn the parking lights on, the headlights go off as I supposed they would.  I still cannot figure this out. All help is greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know if I wire up this relay as shown, will it illuminate the headlights??  My module has a headlight output wire that I can use.posted_image

I am trying to get the headlights to operate when disarming the alarm.  however, I think the module I purchased does not support Extended functions which includes headlight output.  Is there any other way to accomplish this task???
