i'm installing an ultrastart r/s unit on this truck. it has oem remote locks only. the info i have says that it is a negative trigger. this alarm supplies a -500ma output for arm and disarm. does anyone know if this is strong enough to trigger the locks, or do i need to wire in relays?thanks for all of the help!!

yes, this will be enough to trigger the OEM locks.

Yes, those outputs are strong enough all by themselves.
Here's how I get the locks on those trucks:
Open the driver's door wide, and undo the rubber boot that covers the wires going into the door. Take the boot, and stuff it into the hole in the door as far as you can.
Now, the wires going into the door are exposed. Bring your remote starter's lock wires out there through the hole in the body, taking care to avoid getting them jammed up in the parking brake mechanism.
Make your connections right there in the door jamb, then put the rubber boot back into its original place.
