Hello Form readers.

My daughter just bought a Viper car alarm Model 320HV, Canadian if this helps. I down loaded the wireing file from this site and I just want to make sure all of the connections are right before I finish the install. The info found here looks to be for a factory car alarm and this car did not come with one..... OK  question #1 Dome light illumination, primary harnes (H1) wire #4 BLACK/ white does this wire hook up to a + side of the Dome light wire ? As to the install book Harnes (H2) wire #A BLACK/ white would go to ground as this car has  Negative door pins? This Viper 320HV has built in relays. Question #2 Parking Lights how should this be hooked up? + or - Question #3 Door Locks, Should I install as per the wireing found here? Wires in Car LOCK Door -BROWN / Blue (-) Unlock Door -BROWN / White (-) Question #4 Horn wire in car GREEN/ Black (-) ? Question #5 I have a couple of older alarm pieces from a Code alarm 1 is a Inverred detector that has 3 wires on it ( Red, Black,Orange) I cant tell you model # as the sticker is gone off it. I was told when I bought it years ago that it detects body heat so you can leave the windows open and still have security.(Paid $$$) for it. Can this be hooked up to this Viper?

Some of this may make sence or not LOL ....If anyone has ever installed this Viper model in a Eagle talon and help would be Great...

Thanks for reading

I downloaded the wiring diagram from this site and I just want to make sure all of the connections are right before I finish the install. Question #1
Dome light illumination, primary harness
(H1) wire #4 BLACK/ white
does this wire hook up to a + side of the Dome light wire?

You can hook this wire to the
PARKING LIGHTS (-) GREEN / WHITE (-)negative trigger found at the HEADLIGHT SWITCH
-OR-
You can hook it to the Parking Lights (+) GREEN / WHITE (+)postive trigger found in the driver kick panel harness going towards the rear of the car. You need to choose one or the other, not both.

As to the install book Harness
(H2) wire #A BLACK/ white
would go to ground as this car has Negative door pins? This Viper 320HV has built in relays.

Depending on which place you hook up the above wire, you will hook this wire to ground if you use the (-)negative trigger wire at the headlight switch
-OR-
You will hook this wire to constant +12v if your attaching the above wire to the wire in the driver's kick panel.

Question #2
Parking Lights how should this be hooked up? + or -

Whichever you decide to use, see above

Question #3
Door Locks, Should I install as per the wiring found here? Wires in Car:
LOCK Door -BROWN / Blue (-)
Unlock Door -BROWN / White (-)

Yes

Question #4
Horn wire in car GREEN/ Black (-)?

Yes, and you will need to use 2 relays. Steering column wire is neg. on GREEN/ black. The other side of the horn rests at ignition on GREEN / WHITE. Find GREEN / WHITE at fuse box, fuse number 10, 10 amp. Use two relays, one to throw pos. to GREEN / WHITE and one to throw neg. to GREEN/ black at steering column.

Question #5
I have a couple of older alarm pieces from a Code alarm 1 is a Infrared detector that has 3 wires on it (Red, Black,Orange). I cant tell you the model# as the sticker is gone off it. I was told when I bought it years ago that it detects body heat so you can leave the windows open and still have security. (Paid $$$) for it. Can this be hooked up to this Viper?

Probably, but without more info it might be difficult to wire up correctly. See if you can find some numbers on the unit such as a model number.

Some of this may make sense or not.
LOL ....If anyone has ever installed this Viper model in an Eagle talon any help would be Great...

Thanks for the Reply  Steve

Ok The Code Alarm model Looks to be either G04 3YK FLIP. OR G0H 3YK FLIP. The wires inside are BR-R-BK in that order. 1 strange thing is this has a purple U with  . 's over U kind of looks like a smile.

Thanks again for your help on the hookups

Hello again Form readers.

I hooked up the code alarm piece with no probs and it Works :) But I have a couple of questions now that the Viper 320HV is installed and working, With 2 non working wires. # 1 Would be the parking light flash ( it no worky ) # 2 The horn. I guess I had a brain fart and didnt see this Note:

2 Steering column wire is neg. on GREEN/ black. The other side of the horn rests at ignition on GREEN / WHITE. Find GREEN / WHITE at fuse box, fuse number 10, 10 amp. Use two relays, one to throw pos. to GREEN / WHITE and one to throw neg. to GREEN/ black at steering column:

I have no idea how this would look, Would someone have a Picture of this configuration ? or point me to where one can be found?

Back to the Parking lights I have the alarm setup as a Neg as per " You can hook this wire to the
PARKING LIGHTS (-) GREEN / WHITE (-)negative trigger found at the HEADLIGHT SWITCH "

I have a Dumb question on this is there a relay needed for this? If no would anyone know what pin in the main harnes to the Light switch this is. It is possible that there could be a few GREEN / WHITE wires in the steering column?

Thanks again for all the help on this install, My daughter thanks you too as Dad wont melt down the car LOL
