Hi- I put a RS-900VII  (Crimestopper) on, basically, a work truck- no electric locks etc-- But I added door actuators to unlock the doors- I got a "security"  message on the dash- while installing- then I got it to go away after about 50 ignition cycles- Gave it back to owner- now he says he gets the "security" message only occasionally.   I bypassed the Passlock with a GMATTII- which I have used in several GM trucks, like Tahoes etc- I know it is wired right- the truck runs fine, starts both ways, yet sometimes this message appears- Could it be that the truck has "content" theft that is triggering the message- even though it never had RKE, or electric locks to start with?   I did nothing to "disarm" because I have never had a problem in the half dozen or so I have done before--  But this is the first non-OEM RKE truck  I have done...I know I need to get the code read- to know if it is Vehicle or Content Theft deterrent, but the truck is not handy yet..... Thanks ahead for any advise.....

If the vehicle doesn't have factory keyless or power locks it won't have a content theft alarm. You may have disturbed some wiring or connectors during your install that have caused this problem. Make sure that all the connectors are firmly plugged into the BCM under the steering column. It controls the Passlock II system.
