Hello.  I ran into some trouble this weekend while putting some speakers in my trunk.  I have a 1993 Cadillac Seville and a Clifford Concept 550 alarm. For some reason, the door locks stopped working with the remote.  The alarm will still arm and disarm just fine though.  I never disabled my factory alarm and the locks work perfect using the factory remote.  When I went to the back to check where the door lock/unlock outputs were, all the wires were in tact.  When I tapped the box that they are connected to a few times (which I assume is a relay), the locks work again.  But not for long, when drive it and then turn the engine off, the locks go back to not working with the Clifford remote. The alarm does arm and disarm with no problems though.  What should I do? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks, rob_m....:)

seems like you may have a short somewhere,  what I would do is at the brain pull the wile harness for the locks which should be a white 2 pin  plug with a blue & green wire in it.  take a test light touch it on the metal tab on the harness head and see if you are getting a signal when you press the lock and unlock lock wire is green and unlock is blue.  if so the short is in the brain if not the short is somewhere between the place where the wires are hook up to the locks to the end of the harness.

Ok, just to be sure, you unplug the harness with the green and blue wire. Then at the HEAD of the harness itself, I want to hold the test light on one of the tabs?  If I get a signal there when I press lock/unlock, that means there is a short in the brain.  Is that right? I just want to be sure that I don't need to touch the light  to the outlet on the brain. Thank you for the help too..... posted_image
