has anyone had any experiance with these modules? I have a 2003 chevy suburban that I am gonna install an ultrastart r/s unit in, and figured this gmdl-bp would do yhe job. any input on this would be great. now for one thing, im curious if I hook up the blue and green lock/unlock wires from the r/s unit to the blue green on the gmdlbp, does it control the locks through the data output wire?I believe that this is the only wire from the module that is actually connected to the car.(except 12v and ground)also maybe dome light input? any input would be great!! thanks guys!

you are right. the dlbp will do everything you just said, and it will do the fact. alarm disarm also. if the remote start you have has a dedicated panic out put it will do this also.

I just used one today on a 05 Denalli and it worked awsome except the priority unlock feature was being picky so I just set it to unlock all doors on one button press and it worked great

Honestly, always hook them up for unlocking all doors. It doesnt matter what vehicle it is. It does not unlock like the factory.

Very reliable unit. I've had a couple go bad out of hundreds.
However, it WILL lose programming if the car's batery goes dead or is disconnected. You may want to zip-tie it in an accessible spot under the dash in case you need to reprogram it.
I haven't had a problem with the two-step unlocking, myself.
For the Panic feature, it's not so much a "dedicated panic output" you need........ just something that puts out a pulse every time you press a button on the remote...... the trunk-pop output will work fine.
