i installed a k-9 alarm on a 1999 deville and the alarm keep going off after 20 mins . i even disconnect the shock sensor and the door trigger so that the only thing connected is the hot wire ign. wire, gnd wire, kill wire, flasher light wire and door locks and it still goes off. it has a factory alarm on it. i dont know if thats triggering it and if it is do i provide a ground to disarm it. it seems like the alrm loose pwr then gains it back and thats when the alarm go off.

Almost any kind of alarm will give the owner an indication of why the alarm sounded.

In the owner's manual, it probably shows you how to read the LED to tell you whether it was the door, shock, or whatever else.

That's the first place to start----find out which "zone" of the alarm is falsing.

Are you using the underdash courtesy light as a door trigger?

If you don't have anything hooked up to it and it still goes off, I'd say look at your ground to make sure you got a good one. Then check your constant wire to make sure it's a good connection.
