Hello,

I have just had the Viper 130XV installed in my 1995 Mercedes S320. The problems:

1. They can't figure out how to actuate the automatic windows when locking the car.  The factory remote, when the button is held down, will roll up the windows/close the sunroof. The viper will 'nudge' the windows up when locking or down when unlocking but for less than a second.

2. Sometimes the factory alarm goes off with no [it seems] rhyme/reason. Description:
Car is locked by the viper remote
Start it with viper remote
unlock doors with viper remote
get in, accidentally touch brake pedal
start car with key
drive away
alarm might sound after driving for a few seconds
will sound until I press the door lock button on the dash or use the key in the door

That doesn't happen every time.

Can anyone provide any suggestions on this one? The guys who installed it are pretty good but stumped despite calling the mfgr for help.

First I'll address the factory alarm issue, in most Mercedes the factory alarm is controled by the lock cylinder itself.  Thus in short, the factory alarm should arm and disarm as a result of the locks locking and unlocking if this is not happening what they could do is disable the factory alarm altogether viper alarms has a wire on the main harness to do just that once that wire is hooked to the factroy disarm wire it will cause the factory alarm to be disabled whenever the vehicle is started.  Far as the windows the latch puse of the lock and unlock is not long enough to accomplish the windows.  Although it could be programed to on the unlock side, but as a result of that what would happen is the windows would roll down every time you press the unlock button therefore, what you must do is use a spare  output channel to control your ability to roll down the windows and use the ground while running pulse to roll the windows up which will happen when you arm the vehicle.  Of course this would be the case provided that this is based on a neg pulse system.  If it is based on a pos system you may have to use window modules to retain this feature.

As I re-read thru your post it seems to be a neg system so have them try what I suggested in my last post.  Let me know how it turns out or if you need further assistance!
