I have a 98 dodge intrepid with black keys.I want to have the prestige aps-996a installed.The installer said that even though i have black keys,i still need to have the module installed.Can anyone tell me why??

As far as I know, only the cars with grey keys need a bypass module.  The cars with black keys don't have an immobilzer. Give this to your installer.

Only thing I can think of is he wants to use an interface for the DL and such instead of doing resistor work.
