I have a 1996 Ford Taurus that I bought from an individual.  The car has the keyless entry code pad on the door, but the individual did not know the unlock code for the pad.  Is there any way in determining what the factory reset code is for this pad without paying someone $100 to hook it up to a computer?  I talked to Ford a while back and they said this code may be listed on the engine somewhere, but they were not speaking my language and could not give me any specifics other than "in the engine bay"....  Any ideas?

Dan

yes the number is at the keyless module, it is writting on a white sticker with 5 numbers. You will have to locate the keyless module usally in the trunk, behind the seat on the 4dr model ,good luck.

Look in the trunk on the hinge arms.. oftentimes you'll find a sticker there with number on it. No other writing, just a number.

Let us know if that helps..
