I just installed a crimestopper model# RS-999-TW1 on a 2004 Honda CRV. The problem is that the remote start works but using the factory key no longer will start the engine; it just cranks over. would appreciate any suggestions. This is my first(and last) install.
Did you cut any of the Ignition wires or install a Relay for Ignition Kill?
Also what type ByPASS did you use??

Yes. I forgot to mention that i also installed an Omega IB_H3 Immobilizer by-pass module along with it. I followed the instructions for this module to a 'T'. One of the wires from the module(data output) was spliced into one of the wires (position #2)on the 7-pin ignition switch assembly and another wire from position \#6 was cut and spliced to run through the by-pass module. I only cam upon this problem right after I made this splice.
the instructions that came with the by=pass module gave the following.
brown=to remote start unit, black- ground, blue- ignition out, red- ignition from ECM, violet- data input. are you saying this is incorrect?
You are correct if you are using the 6 wire ByPASS
Check your ByPASS :
RED is to ECM (Car ) side+
BLUE is to IGNITION Switch Side of cut wire
VIOLET is to DATA PIN 2
BLACK is to Ground
Also recheck your Ignition wires
Sorry, I thought you may be using the 10 wire Upgrade Version

Recheck the wiring on the bypass module, or just try reversing the cut wire. DEI had the wrong info on the CRV. Maybe your info is wrong too. I went through the same thing you did on an '06 and switched the wires. Worked perfect immediately after. You can't go by the wire color, you have to go by wire function.
thanks for the information, I will certainly give that a try.
