If you have a wiring sheet for your car, you need to start by testing wires that the sheet says are correct to verify that they are correct.  If you dont have a tech sheet, you need to get one. If all wires are verified to be correct, you're ready to start tapping into them...solder every connection.

Your testing each wire on the tech sheet with your DMM.  Check each wire to make sure of its polarity and that its the right wire.  Most tech sheets are wrong about a few wires. Thats why you check them.

Not trying to be rude, but if this is too complicated, you might let someone else do it, and ask if you can watch so you understand it more.

On the bright side,  Civic's are easy to work on.

The reason I am asking all these questions is that I want to do it right the first one. You are not being rude, actually most of the people have been helpful, thank you. I will be stripping the car this weekend, as I will be doing some other work on it anyhow so i will keep you all posted. thanks for heads up on the good and bad. i'll let you know.
