I have searched the site for this info, however I have come up empty (unless the 2005 info is the same), which it may be. My brother in -law just bought a 2006 Toyota Tundra 4door truck. I need the wiring information for the alarm system. I also need to know if it will need a bypass of some sort for the remote start system. Thank you, ------------- Thanks,

--2006 is the same as 2005.
--Since it's the 4-door, it has the somewhat-difficult Toyota lock system where you need to go inside the driver's door, with one relay and two diodes, and a bit of extra wiring.
Try to look up the doorlock diagram for a Sequoia; it is the same.
There are modules available that tie into the car's computer and control the locks for you....they do cost more than just a few bucks.....you can check the pricing and see if you think it's worthwhile for the time/hassle you will save.
--Almost all Tundras have the Toyota immobilizer key. You can get a standard key-in-the-box bypass and plant a spare key permanently inside it.
Or, check out bypasskit.com and see if a no-key-required bypass is available, althout it will cost more, and installation will be more involved.

Chris, none of the 06 Tundras have immobilizer keys, even the 4 door. The 4D does have a factory alarm(at least everyone i've done so far) so you will need to hook up keysense for a remote start...

Use the wire info Kieth gave above, it's the same. You just need to hook the YELLOW /GREEN keysense wire up to a negative out when remote started. The truck needs to think the key is in the ignition the entire time it's running..... ------------- Mike M2

Can anyone tell me what I just fried. I was hooking up the locks like the tech sheet said, 5 wire. While testing Something went wrong. Now the door looks don't work. when I activate the switch, I hear a relay clicking, but the locks don't work. ------------- Thanks,

Mike it said the door lock motors were 5 wire, not the door lock interface. The second link was for the door lock interface which is done in the door. Do the doors not work using either switch? Can you actually find the relays that are clicking. It might be as simple as just replacing the relays. Also it doesnt say so on the tech sheet but I believe you need to isolate the starter wire to avoid transmission problems and throwing the check engine light. I have experienced this on the 05 for sure and I think the 06. If you dont isolate when you put the truck in gear it hesitates and then violently throws itself into gear to the point where it can actually spin the tires like you did a neutral drop. As I said it also throws a check engine light.

I found the relays that were clicking, but they are inside a box which I believe is the BECU. Toyota wants $500.00 for a new one.

The lock switch on either door does not work. Pressing the switch, just activates the relays inside the BECU, but does not lock or unlock. ------------- Thanks,
