Hi all!

First off, the people replying here seem very helpful and willing- even to newbs like me- so I'm going to throw in another 'dumb' question....

I'm a little overwhelmed by all the different relay diagrams on the diff. door lock setups.  I've located my lock/unlock wires on my '90 Ford Taurus GL (3.0 v6)..the wiring diagram doesn't exactly tell me if they're both negative...but i think they are. ANyways, do i have to find the relay diagram and which one (without having to rip out the door trim)? I just don't see why I can't just hook each up to the (-) lock/unlock wires from the alarm..

oh well, look forward to the answers. thanks

If the vehicle originally came with keyless entry ( factory ) then it should be a positive trigger type of door lock and will have a smaller wire.  If it didn't it will be a five wire and it will have a larger wire.  The wire colors are pink and yellow for lock and pink and light green for unlock.  The wires are located in the drivers kick and in a harness coming from the door.
