Hi all,
I would like to plan a good system installation in this spring when my car goes out of storage. I have bought a cheap DEI system that featured all with I needed and nothing I didnt (Rattler 210D).
However I am affraid somebody could just pop the hood and cut the siren wires, silencing the system. What could I add? I tough about adding a second siren, battery powered? Would such a siren hook up well with my system? How about a pain generator inside the car also... will they all sound on the confirm chirps?
Also I would like to know what is the difference between the included shock sensor and a tow sensor... wouldnt the shock detect a tow?
I would like to make my installation as good as possible because I have experienced car thief last year and I dont want it to happen again. A simple anti-start could not stop them.(car was parked in a very low traffic area...they had all the time they needed) Since then I added a steering wheel lock and now the alarm. With some noise and wiser parking spots should give me more chance of preventing thief.
thanks for any info.

The main feature you want to add is battery backup power for the alarm, and a battery backup siren. You can have the normal siren under the hood, and hide the battery backup siren somewhere else not easily seen. The pain generator is good also..You may want to go with a higher model alarm. One that gives you 2-way communication. That way if someone messes with your ride, you'll be notified instantly..Dei has a bunch of them under viper, clifford, and hornet..

Thank you for the info.
I would have loved to go 2-way, however no system were in my budget range.
Would the pain generator and the backup siren hook up well with my system?
thanks
