1990 Nissan 300zx + clifford arrow 3

Everything is fine, except for the door locks.  I put an actuator in the drivers door, but never got around to hooking it up...

The ORANGE / black wire was always open, and during lock or unlock, no pusles, nothing...but a blue one nearby performed as a one wire system would.  I cut this wire and hooked up the relay for the single wire setup.  Nothing happened when I armed/disarmed the alarm, so I recoonected it and kept looking...

I probed other wires, and found 2 blue wires that were always grounded, except during the lock or unlock cycle.  One momentarily became positive for lock, and the other for unlock, relays could be heard while they were momentarily powered.

It seemed that this was working as a 5 wire alternating positive lock setup, so I hooked the relay for ONE of these wires to test it (the lock wire), and tested it, nothing.  Now that wire, instead of being grounded, is constantly powered, unless the lock on the door is moved to the other position, and then it becomes open, and because of this, the door actuator won't work anymore.  Relays can no longer be herad clicking for the lock, (but still for the unlock), and the unlock wire still has ground, and gets the momentary positive signal as it did.  I'm thinking that coming off my relay, I must have had the switch/motor sides reversed, and sent a positive signal to a grounded something hidden sowewhere, and that's why it's not working right, but I don't know for sure, and don't know what to do now, other than run my own wires and make my own relays but I'd like to preserve the passenger door unlock with the drivers door key.

What could be wrong?

Actuators / Reverse Polarity
This is practically identical to the 5 wire alternating 12V(+) system above. The only difference is there's no switch! Both motor legs rest at ground at the relays. To lock or unlock the vehicle, polarity is changed on one motor leg.

That's what I'm planning on doing if I can't figure this out, but I was hoping that I could still somehow preserve the factory unlock with the key.  Thanks, Dan
