Do anyone have info on programming another remote for the viper 791xv. Just bought a used remote need to find out how to program it. I have the original remote, needed a second remote.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Open the door

turn the ignition on to the on position

press the valet/programming button 2 time and hold it on the 2nd push

you will hear a long confirmation chirp

press the arm button on the new 2-way and you will hear one chip

you will hear a confirmation chirp when the remote button is pressed

turn the ignition off

done

I never tried programming yet. This will be my first time programming this remote. But you said these remotes are known for having cold solder joints?

P.S. my remote should come in a day or two, bought it on ebay. If it don't program, I'll let you know.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Received my remote today and programmed it as described above by turbo6. Excellent! works like a charm.

Thanks for the replies.

P.S. No problems as of yet Wranglercory.
