I Just put in a python 881xp remote start/alarm into a 2002 Acura MDX.  Everything is done, but im having problems with the parklight connection.  I found the parklight + in the drivers kick panel, but its real tight and i cant really strip the wire.  I was able to stick in my volt meter into the sleeving, but cant really connect any wires to it, its realy tight.  I decided to do something I never did before and connect the parklight wire from the alarm to the negative parklight signal at the light switch.  I changed the jumper on the brain, but when i lock/unlock the car, remote start, or whatever the parklights dont seem to do anything..  What could be wrong?  if i cant get it to work ill try really hard to tap that wire in the kick but there no slack at all on it..  This is my cleanest alarm install ever and I dont feel like cutting wires i have routed so nicely

You probably need a SPDT Relay to supply a stronger GROUND to the RED / Yellow Parking lite wire as the Python only puts out about 200ma which probably isn't sufficient

If you go high in the kick, next to the fuse box theres a RED / black with silver dash marks POS(+) no relay needed.

If you still want to use the NEG(-)  wire a relay as follows.

87 ground, 85 your neg trig from alarm, 86 12 volts, 30 to your neg parking light wire....

awesome..  I also got one more question about the alarm disarm wire.  Im sure its going to real difficult to run a wire into the door panel.  Does this wire really need to be used?  I locked the car with the python remote and started it and the factory alarm didnt go off.  Is there a delay on when the factory alarm is set or something?  Like if i possibly lock the car with the python remote then remote start the car 5 minutes later will the factory alarm go off?  I just dont feel like fishing wires into this door panel..  way to difficult.

Factory arm and disarm...are in the drivers door. So if you don't arm it....you won't need to disarm it (the factory security that is)
