I just installed a code alarm 425/535 with a plxr bypass module on a 2002 grand am gt . Everything works like it should except the next day he said his security light stays on solid when the vehicle is running, with or without the remote start. I didn't hook up the key sense wire from the plxr. Is it possible I need to replace the plxr? Any suggestions would be helpful.

I would make sure both Ignition wires are being powered with Key & R/S

Both ignition wires are being powered with the key and r/s. Someone said to try disconnecting the battery to reset the system. I guess I'll try another bypass module too. Any more suggestions?

The PLXR is fine for that car. Hook up the key sense wire also. Reprogram the interface and make sure it is set to passlock II. Make sure you have it getting 12v and ignition.

You can also use the gmbp interface.
