has anyone been able to install a remote starter on the new 06 jettas i have been told it can't be done because of the security ,

06 vw jetta f if it can be done it would be really pushing the cars electrics .the can bus security isnt designed to be modified.have looked indepth into the vw can bus .at this stage would say .dont touch it .will let you no if i find a way but not hopfull .

Very few things are truly impossible. If someone tells you that, they're obviously afraid of a challenge. Or they just don't want to do it, but they should be honest.
From the installer/shop's point of view, weird cars are a headache, and consume more time.
During hectic remote start season, I'm going to have to turn away two or three American/Asian cars to do one European one, especially something new where there is little to no information available.
If I can charge three times the going price, I'd be happy to work on a car like that-----I enjoy a challenge and I don't give up easily.
