i am going to shave the door handles on my 97 s10. the kit i got is to be used with an alarm and the alarm i have is a viper 800 esp. the shaved door handle kit comes with 35 pound solenoids and the relays so how do i hook it all up to the alarm?

2 relays are needed one for each door popper 85 trigger from alarm 86 12 volts 87 12 volts 87a not used 30 output to the door popper on the popper itself the will be 2 wires one is power and the other ground hook the power into the wire coming from the relay(30) i showed above and ground the other wire on the popper to chassis ground(DON'T GROUND INSIDE THE DOOR) run a wire to the kick panel and run 12or 14 gauge wire, those poppers need it to be reliable ------------- canada's cold eh.

you can also use the on-board relay for channel 2 on the viper and one relay to channel 3

I would use the second unlock output to control the passenger's door. Use the wire for unlock on the driver's door using the relay diagram above and repeat using the second unlock output for the passenger door. You could use the built in relays but I would assume that you bought that specific alarm for outputs.

I agree with candy&chrome's post above. Wire it exactly as described and use 12 guage wiring for the 12v on terminal 30 to the door popper. I've done numerous installs of door poppers, and I cant stress enough that it is always best to have a dedicated fused wire connected straight to the battery (just as you would for an amp). Run at least a 12 guage with a 20 amp fuse to the 87 terminal on each relay, or you could also run one 8 guage wire with a 30 amp fuse for both relays for the poppers. Just connect the 8guage wire to 87 terminals on both the relays.

i HIGHLY recommend NOT using the unlock wires to pop ur doors!!! if you accidentally hit your unlock buton ur door is going to open! use extra channels that are either validity or that you have to press 2 buttons.. i also ALWAYS recommend putting a relay in line with your power wires so that you can not pop your doors while you are driving accidentally.. when it comes to shaved doors.. you gotta take some precautions
