i got this alarm, but nobody wants to install this in my car because of liability issues of having remote start on a manual transmission car. what i was thinking was to install it myself. i am pretty good with electronics and i have an idea of what i am supposed to do. does this alarm need any special kind of programming through a computer or machine that only an authorized dealer can do or is it just you hook it up and program the remote to the brain? also i have a guy that is willing to help me out. he has his own shop and is pretty damn good with electronical components in cars and installed a few alarm before, but not a two way system. thanks in advance. also can anyone give me a alarm/remote start diagram for a 1994 honda civic ex.

................where am i supposed to connect auxilary start (-) to

  • This is only  required if you wish to start the remote start function with another device that gives a pulse (-) trigger. If you have an alarm system that you want to use along with the Aladdin that has an AUX channel , you can hook it up to this wire to start the Aladdin remote start sequence without using the two way remote control.

.......................also do i have to connect the realy for the starter interrupt in my car.

  • No, you do not need to hook this up to the car. If the car is a manual tranmission vehicle, this is useless to install it on your starter wire because you can push start the vehicle without even having to engage the starter.

.......................also how do ihook up the green, blue and RED / black wire on the p9 harness

  • Find the target wires from my wiring diagram above and GROUND the RED / BLACK wire to chassis. This will send a pulse (-) signal to the GREEN and BLUE wires to lock and unlock the doors.

.......................where am i supposed to hook up the transponder control(-) on the p9 harness

  • This connection is not required for this vehicle. The car does not have an OEM Immobilizer system on it to bypass.

i tried to program the remote before i finished installing everything to see if i had the wires hooked up right and halfway through the programming the alarm wouldn't respond. it'll work for the first few steps but after that it won't work. i had the necessary stuff hooked up like power , brake switch, siren, etc... or do you have to have the system fully connected so that it will work.

With the Aladdin system, DO NOT try to listen for the siren to confirm the steps....rather listen to the beeps coming out of the communication module. All the steps must be done one after another ( no pauses ) and also you have to have initially started up properly as well with the fuses not inserted onto the power lines as per instructions.

You can install the starter disable if you wish... it will not harm anything.

The 2nd ignition and 2nd accessory is not required as the Civic does not have either one of these. The BRWON wire is used for an UAX channel that you wish to add to your system ( eg. sunroof open or close, power window roll up or down, etc ) this will control any device with a (-) trigger.
