My new used car came with a 552T and no remote so I pulled the box down and there are (3) two pin terminals on the side: orange, white, and blue. The orange has 1 green with black stripe wire plugged into it, the white terminal nothing and the blue nothing. I tried to follow the instructions to install a new remote (471T) using a normaly closed switch on the blue terminal and presssing it 7 times with the ignition on. I get no response form the CPU or anything. The light on the transmitter is solid green but kinda pulsates like a flakey florescent bulb. What should I be doing? I also have a little led that I can plug into the white terminal if thats where it goes. I am guessing that this worked before I bought the car and they just did not give me a remote. Its a 97 Continental by the way.

UPDATE: I installed the LED into the 2pin white socket next to the switch and it stays on when the ignition is off and goes off when the ignition is on. So I am not sure if this is normal or what, but I cant get the push button switch to have any impact on making the computer chime or flash the LED. Im going to trace some wires and whatnot and get back to you guys.

Here are pics with the wiring, I am guessing something needs to be changed or reprogrammed as I can get it to chime or anything.

Update: I studied the wiring diagrams and found the activation input and grounded it to test the starter itself and it worked- it started perfectly and all functions worked.
So next I attempted to see if I was getting a negative constant from the horn output; I did this because if the unit is locked from the installer, when attempting to enter the setup mode it will sound a long horn chirp. It did not. I still think it might be locked.
What will it cost at a shop to unlock it/ or program the new remote? Or can I hook up the panic button/or lock twice button on the ford keyfob to use it to remote start?

Ok then, I will just take it to a local electronic installer to have them unlock it or try to. I hope they dont charge me more than $5
