I'm installing a Audiovox APS-685 in my girlfriends car and I am about done,  but when I went to hook up the parking lights wire I tested it with the switch off and the wire showed 12 volts on the DMM.  The wireing diagram showed GRN/WHT+for the parking lights.  Did I hook up to the wrong wire?  I hooked it up to the GRN/WHT wire at the switch and the other wire to ground because there are 2 parking light wires that are hooked up to a common and the other to a normally open contacts of  a relay inside the module assusmeing that this should work.  What do you think?

| PARKING LIGHTS  -|---------------GREEN / WHITE   22 awg----------------steering column *2

*2 Found in a gray 20-pin connector.

If you are using the (-) trigger wire you will need a relay to reverse polarity.

APS685 have two wires for parking light and both are same color(white) if you using Neg Parking light wire  in Car either wire go to Neg or if you using Positive wire in Car it's go to Positive 12 volt . that wire is for parking light polarity select.
