My sister had a RS installed on her 2001 Odessey....she was told that she cannot use her factory keyless entry once the car is started...she must unlock with key....is there anyway to bypass this?  I have read about the keyless module has an input wire that tells it if the car is running...is that where you bypass it?

Thanks

That probably depends on the Installer & how much she paid ...........
That can be done, but the Install would $$ would be more  ( if the Installer knows how )

Have you used the search feature?

My mother has an '03 Odyssey, and the search feature told me everything I needed to know.

Whether the install shop wants to do it, and how much they might charge, is another story altogether.

OK I have found the keyless control module behind the glove compartment,  found the yellow wire....test 0 volts , ignition on 12 volts....now do I just disconnect the wire or should I wire up a relay system to disconnect only when remote start is on?  I have little exp. with relays, so how would you do this.....basically is this wire only to signal the module that the engine is on...or does it need the power for something else?

Thanks

The proper way to do it would be to wire a relay to disconnect that yellow wire when the remote start is engaged.  RElay would be wired like this.  85 - Constant +12v.  86 - ground out while running from the r/s system.  Cut the yellow wire in half one side goes to 30 and the other side goes to 87a.  The only thing you might want to take into consideration is that a lot of shops will not honor any warranty issues if the customer has be messing with the wiring for the r/s.
