i am looking for a no-frills alarm system.

the only issue is the remotes - they need to be small, not big and cumbersome.  i don't like the digital remote-start type remotes, i don't need or care for remote start feature. I don't need anything other than keyless entry and ignition kill and standard glassbreak or shock sensor.

every system i see out there is either the full-blown feature setup for $500 with digital readout remotes, or a bare-bones nothing alarm.

what is out there with smaller, convenient remotes?  thanks in advance.

model #'s would help... i would do a search, but you can imagine the dearth of results i get when i search just "viper" or "clifford" or something...

if i knew the exact model # i could do a search more efectively. thank you!

One more, the clifford arrow 5 is another good one also..It depends on how much you wanna spend..Even though viper and clifford are both DEI owned,i prefer the clifford line.Just type in clifford alarm in the search window on ebay..

you should be able to buy scosche or magicar easy enough these are compustar systems.

i have an arrow 5 in one car and will be putting an intelliguard 750 in my other one. cliffords are very good systems..

but i have to say for a budget system i would go with a scytek.. i install alot of them with no problems..

precision p10 or precision 200 are check security systems

wow guys, so many great suggestions... thanks to all of you, you all mentioned systems i was unaware of and did not know what to do.

the scyteks look GREAT and are cheap, you weren't kidding!

i didn't get this one, but have you seen the Scytek Vision 6000? it has a remote with an LCD screen and a camera IN YOUR car, and when it trips a zone, the camera takes a snapshot of the zone and sends the image to your remote!!!

holy cow where have i been technology-wise???

lol, good stuff. i am bidding on a scytek and a clifford right now, we'll see which one i win. :)

thanks guys!
